A bit about your Executive & Show Director
Josh Gherman has retail in his DNA, and it practically runs through his veins. His first career began with Trader Joe's, where he spent 18 years learning the art and science of retail. Growing up in California, Josh made the move to the East Coast in 2000 to help expand the unique Trader Joe’s culture, all while being coached and developed in key areas such as leadership, people skills, operations, merchandising, fiscal management, and developing future leaders. In short: if it involved retail, Josh probably stocked it, sold it, or solved it.
In 2021, Josh entered the hobby industry under the guidance of his father, Rob Gherman, carrying on a third-generation family legacy as Publisher of Hobby Merchandiser Magazine and Executive & Show Director of the National Retail Hobby Stores Association. Today, Josh is passionate about serving the hobby industry, connecting retailers and vendors, and helping preserve the spirit of hobbies for future generations.
A man of faith, Josh loves the Lord Jesus Christ, is happily married, and the proud father of two kids. When he’s not working, his favorite hobby is hiking with his two dogs, because after a lifetime in retail, walking in circles somehow still feels natural.
Josh is grateful for the opportunity to serve the industry and continue the family tradition as a true “Host of Hobbies” for another generation.
