L&C Crossing Hobby Depot Opens

L&C Crossing Hobby Depot recently opened in a former shoe store at the Midland Mall in Midland, Michigan. Owner Larry Brashear hosted a soft opening during the Midland Mall Comic Con, introducing the community to the store and putting systems to work for the first time.

The store opened with trains, plastic models, toys, and model rocketry kits, which drew surprising interest, Brashear said. Shipments of RC products hit the shelves shortly after the opening. The store hosts “Master the Build” classes for model building, model railroad classes, and a community railroad club. The store also offers 3D printing services, and Brashear plans to add a laser cutter to support the local maker community.
